PERCY HELP!!!!
HI Percy.. although I have a deposit on a cruise for 11/09 I am fascinated by the itineraries that include Iceland, Stockholm, Norway, etc. Except for the Constellation (300 p erson waiting list)..the only ships that are big into it is NCL...From several postings while checking out something I notice you have done this route and Id like your feed back..

here is what I did.
I looked at all the Baltic cruise and what their ports of call were.
I took Princess because it started from Copenhagen and I have already been to Amsterdam.
Princess had much more of the ports of call that I wanted to see.
Next,I chose the one that went to Oslo as opposed to Warnemunde Germany....because from here it was a long day trip to Berlin.
I knew my chances of going to Oslo in the future were less than ever going to Germany!
I was right...as I toured all of Germany in August 2008.

Percy, their cruises are longer than 14 days...too long for me and too port intensive... Looks like the lines are pulling back on S.America, one coming back from Europe...so far I dont see prices for next year dropping.. but Im determined to wait until a travel show in Boston February...to maybe wheel and deal with papers and credit card in my hand.

There are 10 day cruises on the Emerald Princess all through summer 2009, roundtrip out of Copenhagen.
There are two itineraries, one that includes Oslo, the other that includes Warnemunde (Berlin).
Before choosing the 14 night cruise on Celebrity, we were leaning towards the Princess w/Oslo cruise.

FYI...I've done 5 Scandinavian cruises on Cunard, Holland America and Princess so there are multiple options. THey all tend to go to the same basic ports but the length varies from 9 days to 14+ days, by adding other ports, more sea days, overnight stays, etc. Happy researching!

Yes, Percy...we live in Boston, but I dont mind ending up in NYC or Florida.. We did disembark in Bayonne, N.J.last month and let me tell you.. it is the pits..lol. One way flight to Boston was over $300.00 apiece.. we smartly rented a car at the airport and drove home. The best part was avoiding TSA and overage on luggage...in the end we were in our driveway within four hours.. We do not want a port intensive cruise.. but days at sea..
