Hi Tom, been on many cruises...some good and some bad. My family and I just returned from the Norway and have to say that the crew, food, service, etc was one of the best we ever had. Do research and then go and enjoy. If you spend the whole time looking for problems, then you'll have some. But, if you go into it with the idea of just having fun. Then you'll have a blast.
As far as "if it seems to be too good of a deal"........most are running those "good deals".....might as well take advantage of them.
Enjoy.....and Have fun

I went on this cruise at Spring Break and truly had a very good cruise. I had previously been on Carnival's Tropicale and didn't think I'd ever cruise again. The Sea was in nice condition, food was good to very good (but mostly poor desserts!)Entertainment was surprisingly good. Rooms were small and basic. Go!

Hi,I just re-read my post and realized it does not sound as encouraging as I meant it to. We really had a fantastic time.
Cancun - take a cab as soon as you tender in town away from the hotel strip or hang out at any hotel beaches nearby or shop and go for drinks right there at Fat Tuesdays. (Expensive booze slushies)Restaurants are everywhere. Forget paying for an excursion.

Cozumel - take a cab $5? to Chankanaab park admission $7 and park has beautiful lagoon, touristy little Mayan vilage to walk aroundthat is quite cute and fabulous snorkelling. We took snorkel and mask but you can rent right there. Restaurants there or cheaper ones all over town. La Choza is good, inex. Mexican food.

Roatan was the highlight- it was nice to go somewhere not totally commercialized. What a contrast from the last two ports. We took an excursion to Tabyana Beach. OK lunch but beautiful resort. They told us not to go off the property but we strolled down the incredible beach and saw palapa bars and restaurant huts where we could have lounged all day if we'd just taken a cab out to the area. It was a bit of a wild bus trip and the $30 price tag for each of us was ok since it was our only excursion so far!
Great chocoholic buffet at midnight and good stage shows- go early for a decent seat as the room has some bad seats. Do go though, they were well done.Drinks are pricey on board...and they x-ray your bags coming in from port. Tak your booze and return it on the last night of the cruise. Even if you buy on board, they won't let you have it 'til the last day. E-mail for details I didn't cover if you like. Go!!

Took the cruise in March. Out of 23, this was the WORST ship we were ever on. No bashing......just dirty, needs to be redone, service poor.....etc. etc. Now up to our standards. If it is cheap....remember that you get what you pay for! Please.....try another line. Don't waste your $1500.
