New Child-free cruises

Celebrity announced some new perks to its "No Kids" Sailings. Celebrity Cruises, which had already announced “Celebrity Escapes,” its foray into child-free cruising, is fleshing out the concept. The program will feature four different voyages -- an 11-night Caribbean cruise on Millennium (September 23 departure from Ft. Lauderdale), 7-nights on Mercury in the West Caribbean (October 25 from Miami), a 7-night Western Caribbean on Horizon (November 17 from Tampa) and a 10-night Hawaii sailing on Infinity (November 28 from Honolulu.).

Beyond the no-kids component, however, Celebrity’s adding some bells-n-whistles that feel more small ship than big ship. Complimentary wine will be served with dinner each night and a free happy hour in the evenings. Bloody Marys and Mimosas will be on the house at brunch. The line also plans to extend hours at the Thalassotherapy pool and the AquaSpa.

The sailings are limited to passengers over 21.

So, all of the kid haters should hurry up and book!!!
you don't have to be a "kid hater" to want to enjoy a vacation without them. i babysit 4 kids monday to friday and take care of my own 3 seven days a week. love them all but a cruise where you never hear some kid yelling "MOM" sounds like a heavenly week.

I agree - everybody needs a vacation and there are lots of parents who would kill for the opportunity to have a kid-free week.

Also, it has been my experience that there are many parents who take a break from parenting when on vacation, even if the kids are present, resulting in out of control, noisy children. It's hard to relax with children running ever which a way, yelling and screaming. There wouldn't be so many so-called "kid-haters" if more parents kept a tighter reign on their children while on vacation.

Jeff, thanks for the heads up. My wife and I are looking into it.

I wish they would offer one of these adults-only cruises during a school break. The dates they have now probably wouldn't have a lot of rugrats aboard anyway.
