My family and I are taking our first cruise on the Brilliance in Feb. 03 and we are arriving the night before departure, my question is does anyone know of a moderately priced hotel either near the port or near bayside. We are a family of 5. Thanks

The Best Western Marina would probably be the closest moderately priced hotel near Bayside - it's located across the street.

Hi Marcia,

Bayside is great for a large family. Has a terrific food-court. The BW Marina Park is also extremely close to the pier but one can not walk there.

Paul

Marcia
Me and the Boiz get a room by the airport if we need one.Hampton Inn and Suites like most A/P hotels/motels has a free courtesy shuttle.Call from the baggage claim area.Hampton Inn had a free "Continental Breakfast" which is more than enough. We had 5 in a suite with 2 double beds a big sofa sleeper a rolloway and plenty of room for $110.For dinner that night there's every kind of FastFood.I know I know. But look you're going on a cruise and you can eat eat and eat again! So then you only gotta pay for the cab ride to the pier the next day.The guy at the front desk got us a van and we got to the ship at 12.30 just in time for the open buffet lunch poolside.Works for us.
Jason

Go on Priceline and bid a moderate amount ($40-50) on Downtown Miami. I did that last January and got 4-star Hyatt Regency (5-minute taxi ride from the port) for $40 or $45.
