just returned from Carnival Victory

I just had a wonderful experience on the Carnival Victory and for anyone traveling on this ship I'll help. By the way we took the Eastern Caribbean 7 day cruise and just got back on the 9th of November!

I was on the Carnival Paradise two years ago today. I loved it. The only weak point was the midnight buffet, which had no more than five hot items.
How was it on the Victory? Did you stop at Nassau, San Juan, and St. Thomas?

The Victory had a really good selection for their midnight buffet in the Mediterranean. They also seemed to change the items each day so that If you were a night owl you wouldn't get the same stuff all the time. We stopped in San Juan first then went to St. Maarten/St. Martin and then our final stop was in St. Thomas on the way back to Miami. After reading several statements made about Carnival before I left I wasn't quite sure how everything was going to turn out but my wife, son and I had a terrific time. I also found the colors refreshing and our table mates a lot of fun,....possibly future friends. Hope this helps!!

We are going on our first cruise in November with our 3 year old.

Can you give me an advice for us since you have been on the ship?

we plan to try the camp carnival for a couple of the evenings so we can have fun too!

IMHO Carnival gets a bad rap, i.e. it is stereotyped as a line for low lifes. The truth is different by far. It is good to see positive reports. We would do Carnival again in a heartbeat. As you can see from another thread here its food offerings are preferred to RCCL which has a better rep but falls short, at least in the food category. JM2C.
