We are on a River Cruise this summer and don't have the answer but I was wondering if it would take longer for the clothes to dry if you washed them by hand. Is there more humidity being on the water that keeps them damper? We were in Vienna once and washed them by hand and thought they would never dry. I finally used a blow dryer! We are on the Poetry.

We have been on several Viking River cruises. Hand laundry dried, I assume, due to the A/C in the room. We sent other items to the ship's laundry service.

Thank you SuQue for your response. Was it very expensive for your laundry to be done by the Ship's service. Our cruise is for 14 days.

We went on Switzerland 11 in September for 14 days and didn't do laundry except for my undies, think they'd do it for you, but didn't hear from anyone that they'd had it done.
