How does it feel at night in a cruise?

Hi everybody, i have this thing going around my mind sice i've got the cruise tickets... how does it feel at night in the cruise? can you sleep well? does the sound of the water bothers you? and the most important, if you don't want to sleep can you be outside or do you must be on the cabin in the bed time? Well is the first time that i am going on a cruise for 6 nights so i am a bit worry...thank you all

You cannot hear the water while you're in your room...the ship is huge, and you might also be far above the water. There is no "bed time" on a cruise - you are free to roam 24 hrs a day if you like!

One of the things that I really enjoyed on my cruise was getting my iPod, wrapping up in a beach towel for warmth, and hanging out on the upper deck after dinner when it was dark...not too many people around, and with no light pollution out in the middle of the ocean, the star gazing is quite amazing.

Brida which cruise did you end up booking? Are you leaving from Italy or flying to England?

We love to turn the lights off and look out of the window to see the stars and look at the waves They gently rock you to sleep, you feel like a baby!

There is no such thing as "bedtime". You can order food to be delivered to your cabin 24 hrs (they want additional tips). You can be whenever you want to be! Or turn the TV on in the cabin.

If you like to have a snack any time, you can bring something from the buffet: a cookie, an apple.

I suffer from insomnia, and sometimes wake up in the middle of the night on the ship. Feel too lazy to get dressed to go outside, so I just watch some TV - usually the news put you back to sleep

When you go out of the cabin, remember the key card, always have it with you.

Actually I seem to sleep better on a ship. You really won't hear the sound of the water and you can be up all noc. if you want to.

I love sitting on deck or on my Balcony and reading a book. And if your a foodie like me, a little trip up to deck 9 and getting a midnight snack is great also.

Plus at night, if you want to party you do not have to worry about getting home. If you get a bit drunk, all you have to do is remember your room number.

As for water sounds you will not hear them, and rocking on modern ships is very minimal.
