Help with shore excursions on Windsurf Rome to Malta in May needed
Hello. I just booked on Windsurf leaving May 18th - Civitavecchia (Rome), Capri, Sorrento, Lipari, Tunis, Porto Empedocle Sicily, Gozo Malta, Valletta . The shore excursion prices with the ship is too high for me, anyone with tips on a DIY? We are 38 and 41, and love to walk.
Also, are we allowed to bring our own wines onboard? Any other feedback will be appreciated. Thanks.

I can help you w/Gozo & Malta.
Both are do-it-yourselfers
Assuming you dock in
Valletta, capital of Malta, it is a very quaint old town & there's a media show there too running about an hr.
There prob. are tours to many of the historic sites. However, for the amount of time you will prob have a self-tour would suffice.

Do a search on this site; there's tons of info.
If you wish to stay in Valletta itself
the Hotel Castille is a charming* old hotel; I believe owned once by a family w/rooftop restaurant (don't bother except for breakfast); and a cellar pizza/restorante type.
Gozo is more seashore type ambience than touring.
*to some charming; others a little too quaint; ergo, the plumbing is year 1.
