HELP! I need to make reservations soon

The more I read, the more I am confused. I need to plan a trip for my mother(70's) and myself(50's). We would like some moderate activities and a cruise line that would be casual and active. Also, best time to travel?
Hi Carol,

A travel agent can look at you and your lifestyle and set you up accordingly. Problem is, they may sell you an upscale cruise that costs a ton of money.

Reading into your post I would say Holland America.

Paul

Paul, thank you for your suggestion. I wanted to ask around and read other travelers ideas before talking to a travel agent.

Carol, from the little bit I have learned from your post, I would recommend Celebrity or Holland.

We are fairly flexable on our dates. I would like to save money by not going on the highest priced time, then I want to go when the weather wouldn't be too cold or rainy.

Sounds a little to me like maybe a Bermuda or a Canada cruise would be nice but of course that wouldn't apply until early summer. Of course Alaska if you don't plan to go until warmer weather arrives.Happy hunting!

I would suggest Princess or HAL. You can't go wrong with either.

Go to a local TA and pick up some brochures. Look at the ports and decide from there.

I love the caribbean in the winter/spring (February - April).

There are some great deals out there right now. A TA can help you find them.

Theresa

Carol,

Aside from the formal dress in the evenings; I would recommend Cunard's QE 2!

I highly recommend Celebrity. The service and food and wonderful! We are planning our second Celebrity Cruise soon and can't wait. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to email.
