Glacier Bay or Hubbard Glacier
Also posted on US forum and lounge
Us - cruise virgins.
Line - Holland America
Time - towards the end of May
Pros for Hubbard Glacier - save several hundred on balcony room with a much better room selection. Looks interesting
Pros for Glacier Bay - lots of people say it is a must see. We like the idea of the Park Ranger on board for the NP part.

Glacier Bay!!! It's a narrow channel with snow-capped mountains on both sides, several massive blue-ice glaciers, the water filled with chunks of ice like melting cubes in a tumbler. It's remote and completely unspoiled, with an amazing ghostly silence--you feel like you're on another planet. The ship travels through slowly, so you get the full effect. In short, it's a scene and experience you'll never forget.
We went over Memorial Day and here's a heads-up--it's not warm. We had a temperature gauge out on the balcony while we went through Glacier Bay. Perhaps because we were surrounded by ice, it was 49 degrees. - Musing About Cruising
