GETTING TO TRAIN STATION FROM VENICE PORT

We are disembarking our Med cruise in Venice. Any information on how to get to the train station would be welcome...how much time should we plan to get there....

When we did this in 2004 we took the water taxi from the Lido around to the train station. Unfortunately we traveled during the morning rush and the water taxi is packed with folks on the way to work. We had to juggle our large bags and try our best to keep out of the way of commuters. I also recall that it was not obvious where we should get off but a kindly English speaker gave us spot on advice. We got off and were a quick walk to the train station. In the morning rush hour we planned on an hour and 15 minutes but from the cruise port it should be much faster.
