Blowing this WAY out of proportion-

I just spoke to RCL- the fire was on some of the turf on the indoor golf course and the turf is being replaced as we speak--
it was close to the inline skating rink and a small area got burned and is also in the stages of repair-

Should all be fixxed by tomorrow---

NOTHING is changing per any of the cruises-NO cruises are cancelled and the ship's passengers did NOT even have to get up for "muster"...

ALL is well---- do not feel the least bit worried about the ship!

I don't want to start a flame war here but if you go to http://www.cruise-addicts.com you'll see a story and picture of the damaage. I think it's a little more damage than you think. I'm sure it will be fixed but in one day?

This is what was posted on cruise-addicts:

Royal Caribbean¹s 3,114-passenger Explorer of the Seas caught fire early Thursday morning. The fire, which damaged the ship's inline skating and miniature golf areas on one of its top-most decks, reportedly broke out around 3 a.m. according to passengers onboard. There was no other obvious damage. The fire apparently was put out quickly and passengers were not required to muster.

The ship continues to steam its way through the Eastern Caribbean, where it is due to dock in Miami, as scheduled, on Saturday. Royal Caribbean spokespeople were not immediately available for comment this evening
