faith-based cruise?

While browsing cruisecompete.com I noticed a "faith-based" cruise category. Has anyone been on one of these or have any more information about them??

My friend went on one of those to Alaska. She said her church chartered the ship.

There was only one bar opened, no casino, only bingo. Lots of table games.

Same land tours (optional) as on any tour.

Sanitizer was distributed at the entrance to the restaurants. Same as on any cruise you can have free food or pay in another restaurant.

Basically the cruise was the same only "tame".

Anything you want me to ask her?

Charles Stanley (In Touch Ministries) has a 5 day Bahama cruise he's offering. You can get more infor on his website: intouch.org. Also, David Jeremiah (Turning Point Ministries) is doing a 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise from Feb. 3 - 10th, 2007. His website is: turningpointonline.org. Both of these men serve the Lord with Bible-based information and testimony. I just wish I had the time and money to go! God Bless and I hope this helps.

Joy and Peace in Christ,
Bob

I am wondering how these type cruises are economically possible for cruiseline - since such a large percentage of their profits I assume are made on alcohol and casino.

Faina - what does sanitizer at entrance to restaurants have to do with anything about faith-based cruise?

Can we assume that with such a cruise we will not get trapped in arguments about smuggling anything on or off the ship?

Well, the cruise lines do require you to buy your holy water from them, and not bring your own on board. I think most people try to smuggle it on in liquor bottles.

How about Pastor Ted and his ilk smuggling on their personal male masseuses? Will that be allowed?

Saw that Pastor Ted is entering an intense faith based re-hab program which includes, among other religious activities, the "laying on of hands".......not I bet Teddy will sure be into that action!
