Cruising in the Baltic Sea
need some advice on selecting a small cruise ship to cruise the Baltic Sea. We want to visit St. Petersburg, and we will be traveling with another couple. We are looking for excellent cuisine and great accommodations. I have cruised with the large ships, and I want this trip to be with a smaller cruise line like Crystal. Any reviews or suggestions? Thanks so much!

Well okay , you are asking for a small ship.
The Holland American Prinsendam has 793 passengers and does the Baltic.
Make sure you take a cruise that gives you two full days in St. Petersburg

Take a look at Silversea Cruises. Their itineraries are varied and when they visit St. Petersburg, the ship docks near the Hermitage, plus they typically spend more time in port there than other cruise lines.

We are cruising the Baltic on Crystal this July and will spend 3 full days in St. Petersburg with a private guide. This will be our 7th cruise on Crystal and we love the service, the food, the ambiance, and the accommodations. It is just the right size to have everything you could want.
