For an Alaska cruise on Coral Princess in June, I read somewhere jeans are not permitted in dining rooms at dinner. Any advice? Thanks.

We went into the dining room on the Diamond Princess for dinner on an Alaskan cruise without any queries or problems.

It has been a few years, but dining attire was VERY casual. "Formal nights" were not formal at all.

We sailed to Alaska on same ship about 4 years ago. Much different attire and more casual than warm water cruises, even in dining rooms and on "formal" nites. Not sure I saw any jeans at dinner, but plenty of khakis, casual shoes - although perhaps not sneakers. Probably could get away with it, but would be in the minority and perhaps feel uncomfortable.
