Celebrity - non smoking side?

After much research we've pretty much decided to go with Celebrity on the Summit (rather than HAL or Princess)to Alaska - I thought I thought had seen a review that mentioned they have designated one side of the ship for non-smoking rooms. My husband has allergies. I can find nothing about this on their website and if you go in to reserve a cabing there is no mention. Can anyone enlighten me?

Celebrity does not have non-smoking cabins. One side of the ship is designated as non-smoking (can't remember what side). No smoking is allowed in all dining venues.

Public areas are designated either entirely non-smoking [dining facilities, theaters, etc.]. Other areas are shared with clearly defined smoking areas [some lounges but not all]. Ventilation inside is excellent.
There is no smoke odor present in any area with the exception of the casino.

Outdoor areas are also divided smoking and non-smoking.

No cruise line designates cabins as smoking or non-smoking. This is not necessary due to the ventilation system.

Example: in a cabin with two smokers, there will be no smoke odor when they return from drinks, dinner and entertainment. So you can imagine there will be no odor after a cabin change-over and thorough cleaning at the beginning of a new cruise.

My partner can smell all bad perfume a mile away, so smoking has not dulled his olfactory senses.

On the Century, it was the PORT side--that was smoking. I never ran into any smoke smell (just stayed away from that side in the lounge and outside deck). Century also still has the cigar room. Can't help you on the Summit, though.

Thanks everyone - I now understand it's the public areas, not the cabins that have non-smoking designations. I guess we'll just have to hope the ventilation is working well and that the folks on the next balcony are not heavy smokers!<BR
