Celebrity is great

I just went on my first cruise with Celebrity on the Galaxy in the Caribbean and it was fantastic. The food and service was excellent, and they didn't made any announcements over the loudspeaker. The staff was great and very very accomodating. I couldn't believe how much food they had though! I would recommend them to anyone.

We've been on 17 cruises (4 of them on Celebrity) and I have to agree with you. I think it's hard to beat them on food (both quality and presentation) and their service is second to none. Of the 8 lines we've been on, they are definitely our favorite. We were on the Millennium in February and can't wait for our next Celebrity experience.

My husband and I have been on 8 cruises - 2 of them on Celebrity. It is our favorite cruiseline. The best was the Celebrity cruise we took last September to the Western Mediterranean on the Millennium. It's a gorgeous ship. It had the best entertainment we have seen on any cruise. Also we have found the food on Celebrity to be a cut above everyone else. We have been told that they have the biggest food budget of any of the cruise lines.

I've been on many cruises. The WORST cruise I have ever been on was Celebrity (Horizon)! Sour attitudes from staff (get 'em on & get 'em off), badly prepared food, deteriorating and poorly kept accomodations. Well, you get what you pay for. I booked last minute. Felt sorry for the passengers who actually planned to be on this floating dump!

Count me in! My husband and I love Celebrity. I've been on a few other lines, but I always opt for Celebrity whenever possible.

Loved Celebrity- did Panama Canal with them on Zentith, and did Eat.Carib, on the Century--am all set to do the Millenium with them this year....Service was great, food terrific for a large line that serves 1900 passengers, good entertainment

Yes, Celebrity is one great cruise line. they know how to make their passengers comfortable.

One nice touch is they place a carpet on the bed so when you unpack your luggage you do not soil the bedspread.

I do not think Deb really wanted to cruise when she sailed the Horizon.
Seems like she did not enjoy anything. Seems strange that "all" the food was prepared badly.

I sailed the Horizon to Bermuda two years ago when it was only 9 years old and thought it was wonderful.
Maybe it deteriorated in the last 2 years.

Paul
We have sailed Princess, HAL, Celebrity, and RCCL on numerous occasions. By far, our favourite in most categories was Celebrity. Too bad to hear about the Horizon though. Interestingly, a friend of mine who has cruised dozens of times, just got off the Zenith. He had not been on Zenith for a few years, having been on the Century class ships and more recently the Millennium. His reaction? Zenith was the Celebrity of old; even more outstanding service and food than the newer ships. He'd forgotten just how good Celebrity can be. The ship was also in great shape too. Notably, it seems that Celebrity may be considering selling Zenith and Horizon but will commission ships in between the Horizon class and the Century class as they now recognize that the smaller ships have significant advantages too.

Due to the limited passenger capaciity in Bermuda (government regulations) Celebrity will not remove either ship from the port. They will have to build a ship no larger than the Horizon and Zenith.

You will note the triple and quad cabins are sold out almost immediately when you attempt to book. The real reason is that they can only sell so many triple and quad cabins due to the above.

They are allowed to fill the ship.

If one wishes to book a triple or quad you must book now for next year.

There will not be any additional cruise lines allowed in Bermuda.

When Norwegian lost their berth due to them not maintaining the once beautiful Norwegian Crown (it was a wreck). Princess won the bid to put in their Pacific Princess. Norwegian lost one of it's prime itineraries. Not too smart.

Paul
