Carnival Inspiration?

Please help me! Anyone have any feedback about Carnival's Inspiration ship? This ship will be sailing out of New Orleans in June. Ports of call include Montego Bay, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman. We're looking into this particular one because my boss gave me 2 free nights at a luxury hotel in New Orleans for Christmas. We figure we could do 2 vacations in one! I will be traveling with my boyfriend. We are both in our mid twenties and would like to have some fun, but would like to relax as well if needed. Anyone have any comments? Thanks!
Hi Allison,

Nice "fun ship" cruise. You will have a great time. Disco and Casino open to 3 AM and pizza place open 24 hours. Laid back, certainly not elegant. The food is very good and the service is average.

The only difference between this Carnival ship and others is that I thought the decor in the lounges to be really weird. Joe Farcus, the designer must have been "on" something when he dreamed up this ship.

Paul

I sailed on the Inspriation on her pre-inagural. I have also sailed this itinerary on another Carnival Ship.
I think the food and service on Carnival are very good, the Casino action is Great (although I always Lose), I enjoy the Piano Bar, you will enjoy the Disco if you like that type of music. The shows are good. All in all a very good experience to be enjoyed by young and older alike.
Carnival also serves Lobster on Every sailing, even 3/4 nights, and their Beef Wellington is very good.
I look forward to the lobster and the prime rib on Carnival. It is real prime rib not just a hunk of beef.

Paul

We were on the Inspiration Thanksgiving 2000. New Orleans was wonderful - though we were only there for 1 1/2 days and just skimmed the surface. Go to Cafe DuMonde first thing in the morning for your beniets (sp), can't describe.

We had fun in Montego Bay, went to Doctors' Cove by taxi then walked to Margaritaville. For two late 30's it was like walking into an MTV show, but it was fun. Cozumel is great for snorkeling - we bought our gear at garage sales so we didn't have to rent it on board, you can take a cab to any beach the people are very nice. We spent Thanksgiving Day on Grand Cayman 7 mile beach. Couldn't ask for anything more. Don't forget to buy the rum cake. You will have a great time.
