I had the virus coming off a Southern Caribbean ship, Splendor of the Sea, several years ago. Fortunately if I were going to get sick it was midnight the morning before we were to get off for home. I went to the ship's Dr. the next morning-gave me a shot for the naseau. He told me 15 others had been there with the same ailment. Boarding the plane they rushed me thru the lines as I was so sick. Funny now,but going to the bathroom to change my shirt some lady stopped me and said you have your shirt on backwards. At that point I was lucky to get into another shirt.
I have been on a Meditarrean cruise since then-with no problems on the Celebrity-Solstice.
I really would not want to be on a ship where this virus has occured more than once.
I looked at a website once that had a list of the ships when they had a problem with this virus. Does anyone remember that website??

Good Luck! Consult with your DR about possibly taking some preventive medicine or anti-bacterial clothes with you. Report back and let us know you are OK.

I was just searching this site to find out about Cape Horn weather and found all these posts about the 12-17 thru 12-24 crown princess. We were a little bit luckier since we live in Ft Lauderdale someone called us and told us that they were cleaning the ship so we came a little later. After cruising other lines and this ship we had taken it for a Baltic this cruise was really bad. We were really careful about touching anything so none in our group of around 16 were sick but the seas were so bad coming back from Aruba we were eating in the Italian restaurant and everything was going everywhere.
Rocked right out of bed one night and when the captain said there were gale force winds the worse he had seen in 20 years i figured no way. I looked out the windows that night and the waves were so high. I thought it was just where we were but now i know it wasn't also since coming back from that cruise and watching the news Princess has had quite a few ships leaving Ft Lauderdale with Noro either coming back in early or delayed leaving. Saving these threads for sure

Are you saying the waves had something to do with the Princess ship, rather than the weather or your location on the sea? When you had such high waves were you on a Baltic cruise or near Aruba? When did all this occur? Was there some relationship between the rocking ship and the Noro Virus? Was your trip bad because of the waves, the virus or the ship? Can you please carify.

I am "at sea" on this one too. Do you mean you were on this ship for two separate cruises?

you guys should add your names here: NorovirusOneYouZero.com. there's apparently no way of tracking how many people have been bitten by this bug. solidarity in survivorship.)
