I have to Thank You jacketwatch for your help in answering my myraid of questions about the Baltic Cruise you too in June.

Your comments were most helpful as always and I appreciate your help very much.

Thanks Again

Take Care
Percy

Oh yes, you mentioned about the Ice Palace in Stockholm ( that Bar that is at minus 5 C), well I did not do the one in Stockholm...BUT I did the one in Copenhagen.

It is only 2 blocks from the Town Hall Square.
It is called the "Ice Bar".
It is located in the Hotel 27...so for those that go there , just ask for Hotel 27 ( Big white and black signs of "27" on the building!!)

Thank you. I didn't know Copenhagen had one. BTW in the latest issue of Time mag. countries are ranked according to their "freedom quotient" so to speak. Denmark is actually #1. Pretty interesting.
I am happy to answeer any questions too. No worries, eh.

BTW Percy do you have any plans for upcoming trips? We are hoping to try the Caribbean again next summer on one of those RCI Voyager class ships.

Good Night

Later is now The coffee has kicked in. So what are you thinking of for the Caribbean? We are pretty zoned in on the AOS in early June for port and date reasons. I just hope all of us can get the time off together. Also I really want to try one of those Voyager class ships. They look amazing! Larry

That is the name of the ship, the Adventure of the Seas. Its a voyager class ship by RCI and they are suppose to be really nice. Actually many ships begin their cruises in PR and I think Carnival has one, or at least they used to have one that went to Dominica and Barbados. Many ships go to Barbados but fewer to Dominica. If you embark from PR try to spend some time there. There is alot to see and what Iliked especially was the old Spanish fort of El Morro. From its top are great views of SJ harbor. PR also has a rain forest as well. All in all its a nice tourist destination. Cheers, Larry

I just checked. The Carnival Destiny has two cruises, one which embarks from SJ and stops in Barbados and Dominica and another which embarks from Barbados and stops in Dominica. I saw this from the June/2008 schedule. We took this cruise BTW only ours stopped in Martinique instead of Dominica. The Destiny is a really nice ship and all in all we were very pleased. Thanks jacketwatch:

I will for sure keep those points in mind.

I will ge the booklet for the Royal Caribbean and see what they have.

I have been to some of the Caribbean Island and have done the Panama Cruise.

I will try not to duplicate some of the places I have already been to,but it is rather difficult as you have to hit some of those ports...it is hard to avoid them all.

Thanks Again
Good Night
Percy

Duplication can be an issue. The AOS cruise we are considering stops in three ports we have not been to so this is a winner for us.

I am not sure aout the TP really. All I know is what I heard and that is they decided to not renew their 5 yr. contract for FP due to issues about transporting supplies to Papeete and for immigration hassles there for there crews. I do wonder how the TP will do motion wise in Alaska and then on its 109 day world cruise. Hmmm. As for the destiny see the link for what I was referring to. One is out of PR, the other out of Barbados.

I have no idea how the AOS showed up in that link. That is I searched on Yahoo! by cruise line, Carnival only. Perhaps its fate telling you to join us on the AOS.

Thanks for the info jacketwatch.

Boy for that 109 day trip around the world it seems like the Tahiti Princess is too small.!!

Well I am just looking into some of the Carribean Cruises.
It seems Princess has some 7 day, 10 day and 14 day cruises.

I do not want to go out of Fort Lauderdale as I have been there twice and I usually like to come a few days early and enjoy the departure city also.

I have to look at Celebrity yet also and see what they have to offer for next year.

I have been to the Western Caribbean and done the Panama Canal and the Mexican Riviera... so now it will be only Eastern Caribbean.

There is lots of time and I am one of those !!!!
Have a nice day
Percy

I too wonder about the size of that ship for a world tour. Don't misunderstand me she is a beauty but we felt lots on motion on her last yr. Good luck with the planning Percy. Anticipation is half the fun, maybe more.

Loved your trip report. Hope that I can get there next year. I want to see the Alexander palace in Pushkin. Was there any mention of that one or any chance to substitute (or wander off) from the Catherine palace?
