Azamara Journey

Anyone familiar with the ship? Taking it on Baltic cruise end of June, early July. Anything I should be sure to do or avoid? Thanks

Both Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest are great ships with good food and wine and excellent service. I even like the cabins, but it's not a real luxury ship, just a couple of notches below.

Does their prices reflect somewhere I between mass market and luxury lines?

Yes. Prices for what you get are quite fair in my opinion. And there are a lot of inclusions. But I like the relative small size of the ships the most.

Thanks Doug. They use those ships ala most of the Oceania ships as well as the Ocean and Pacific Princess. IIRC they used to be of the defunct Renaissance line. We were on the Ocean Princess which then was the Tahitian Princess. There is a definite feel for this size of ship which is about 32k tons vs. the behemoths that are prevelant. It was about 600 ft.long and had only about 700 passengers. It does seem to provide a more intimate atmosphere.

They undoubtedly beautiful ships, and I like what they've done to them. I was on Azamara Journey last month before it left on the Titanic cruise, and I liked what I saw (though I did not see the cabins).
