Anyone cruised the Tahitian Princess lately?

We are looking into crusing the Tahitian Princess in late October 2004. We have never been on a cruise before. We are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We looked into the Paul Gauguin also, but is very expensive. Anyone's thoughts would be welcomed. Thanks!!!

Have you checked out the cruisecritic message boards? There is a lot of info there.

Your Silver anniversary is a special occasion and deserves a special cruise. That is the Paul Gauguin. Yes, it is expensive . . . and worth it. This is the best cvruise we've ever been on (out of 15).

You will be two of only 360 pampered guests. You will not be charged extra for every soft drink, every bottle of water, every cappuccino . . . There's no tipping , and it's not expected. The food and the service and the ambience aboard the Paul Gauguin is something extraordinary, and it will spoil you. And don't you deserve it?

Unfortunately, I haven't been on either the Paul Gaughan or the Tahitian Princess but from what I've read, I'd agree with Atena39 and would opt for the Paul Gaughan even if the price is much higher. The reviews are the best of any ship and it is ranked the #1 ship by Conde Nast...how can you go wrong! Also, don't forget to factor in the free air with Radisson. For such a special occassion, I wouldn't go with a lesser experience.

Surf over to www.windstarcruises.com and investigate the Polynesian cruises they offer. The ships are wonderful - only 150 passengers - and they're very comfy. We loved our Tahitian cruise on the no longer with us WindSong. Being at sail in those beautiful waters is a thing of joy!
