Alaska cruise ?

If your cruise leaves from Whittier, Alaska what city do you fly to to get it? I did an expedia search for air fares to Whittier and came up empty. Thanks, Larry

Whittier is a very small town of maybe 200 people.

You need to fly to Anchoage - and then take a bus or train to Whittier (can book through cruise line). Whittier is probably 1.5 hours away (depending on if you catch the timing right on the bridge).

There is NO bridge to Whittier- it is a TUNNEL. As mentioned the airport would be Anchorage. You can get to Whittier several ways, cruise contracted bus or rail, independent shuttle, Alaska RR, or Avis rental car with a $125 drop off. BUT strongly consider getting there several days before the cruise- there are just superb touring opportunities and few people make frequent trips. Take advantage of being all the way there. Ideally you need at least 5 days.
