I am considering the MS dalmacija for next year. it`s not fancy, if you are looking for fancy. It sails from Venice down the croatian coast. It was featured in the film "The talented Mr. Ripley". Frommer`s message board has some reviews on it.

What do you mean by not fancy? The Windstar wasn't fancy but very nice - no formal nights. I can't seem to find a picture of the cabins - what are they like.

Thanks Rhea58 for the web site. It looks interesting. I'll keep the reference for when we finally decide.

You're welcome. In doing my research, I got scads of info from the
NYC Croatian Tourist Office.

The co. I finally chose can be found at: www.sterlingvacations.com;
physically located in Austin & owned
by a Croatian couple who have been quite expedient w/e-mail queries.
They also have a more palatable pricing structure.
