I would definitely recommend a Mediterrenean cruise on the Radisson Diamond. This is a wonderful cruise line and a great itinerary. The ship carries only 350 passengers. The service is exceptional. All tips (including gratuity for the bar drinks that you buy), soft drinks, bottled water, juices, etc. are included. Wine is also served with dinner and you have a choice of two bottles of wine or two bottles of alcohol to stock your mini-bar in you cabin. We sailed on Radisson last September 10 days after the Sept 11th attack. We sailed from Rome to Istanbul and really enjoyed the cruise. We had only 133 passengers on that cruise. We jet skied in the Mediterranean Sea and that was a thrill. No children on the cruise. There was a nice mix of age groups. We are in our early to mid fifties and felt in the middle of the age range (late 20's or early 30's to late 60's or early 70's).
We had a balcony stateroom midship on deck 9. Great location.
The cruise had an excellent itinerary. Good shore excursions.
The biggest difference with this cruise and others we have taken is not being nickeled and dimed to death and the outstanding service. Have a great anniversary!
