Dear Mark

My soon-to-be husband and I are going to WMB in early June for our Honeymoon. We have heard that the water isn't too clear for snorkelling - is this true?

Are there any places to visit which you would recommend us to see / avoid?

What was your overall impression of the resort?

Thanks heaps

Debbie

Hi. We are planning a trip there with my 3 kids (ages 9,12 and 15) in early January. They do not need supervised children's programs but like things to do. Do you recommend this place. They are good travellers and not rowdy children. Is there golf available for them? Many thanks

Hi Carolyn
WMB has lots to do for kids. The watersports program seemed to be greatly
enjoyed by the kids when we were there.
As to golf I don't golf so I really don't know what is offered off the resort. I do know that there was a small
chip and put area on the resort near the
hot tub and gym. People were using it so
I guess it was ok.

Mark

Just back today.
The resort was great. The snorkling there was not good. Go south for the day.Hilton and Anse CHASTANET were great. You can get the equiptment at the hotel and take it with you for the day.

We took the local bus just outside hotel is a little bus stop. Cost $1.00 $1.50 to go north to gros inlet and $1.00 to go to castries. Thats EC money about $2.60 US to 1 EC.

We rented a car and drove around the Island the east side is curvy but once your in Soufriere going south the road is good and the views are unreal. Get off and drive thru the little fishing villages.

HAve fun.

Hi There!

My husband & I went to WMB in June for our honeymoon. We had a wonderful time & really enjoyed ourselves. As others have mentioned, the snorkeling isn't great, but there are lots of other options on the island for great snorkeling. It was a nice resort -- well kept & pleasantly staffed. The food was quite good. Don't expect extravagant gourmet meals, but good food. The buffet place had good food & plenty of options. I would characterize that option as a step up from the standard chain restaurant-type food (a step-up from Friday's, that kind of thing). The fancy restaurant was excellent. The food was very good, & definitely a little fancier. While they encourage reservations, we went there one night on the spur of the moment(I'm allergic to peppers & the other restaurant's theme night was really spicy). We explained our food issue & they seated us. We had no complaints! The afternoon tea is also quite a treat. Make sure to check it out. And, whatever you do, get lots of the WMB Fruit Punch. It's more a fruit slushy & the stuff is delicious. It tastes slightly different each time, but equally yummy. We had a wonderful time all around. Any further questions, please feel free to email me.
