Which resort to stay in?
We are having a hard time deciding where to stay for our honeymoon. We are deciding between Ladera, Hyatt, Rendezvous, and Sandals St. Lucia. We've heard a lot about Sandals, but no so much about the others. Has anyone stayed at these places? We'd appreciate any positive or negative feedback!
Thanks!

I have stayed at Sandals Halcyon in St. Lucia and I loved it. Sandals St. Lucia is a much larger resort, very elegant. We liked going over there for dinner but enjoyed the quiet at Halcyon. Took a look at the Hyatt and it is beautful and a wonder location. Very expensive resort. Ladera's rooms are open on one side, great views but I like a real room. Rendezvous, I would be very carefull with that one, I have heard some bad reviews of the place, run down, leaky roofs.

depends on what style you want. ladera is up in the mountains therefore shuttle to beach, and only three walls on the rooms so hope you don't mind the geckos visiting. Rendezvous is more of a moderate all inclusive. Sandals (both resorts) are direct on the beach and wonderful (we have stayed at halycon). See the "sandals visitors resort hangout" on the yahoo club site for sandals info.
Sandals St.Lucia Golf & Spa Resort is wonderful. We celebrated our 25th Anniversary there in Feb and Loved it. I have an excursion sheet for St.Lucia if interested email me @ [email protected] and I would be glad to send it to you. It might help you decide on thing you like to do.

Just returned last week from St. Lucia and stayed at the Hyatt. We absolutely loved it. It was a very beautiful resort with the most exceptional service. I really had no complaints. Their beach is wonderful too. We found that we really liked the location, as it is away from all the other resorts on the northern end of the island, so was somewhat secluded. Personally, I wouldn't have wanted to stay at one of the hotels right in Rodney Bay, although it is convenient for going to the different restaurants. I saw only the outside of the Rendezvous, but it did not look very nice at all to me. It seems this resort is probably not in the same caliber as the others you listed. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any specific questions about the Hyatt.

Just read in a Travel Agent Forum the Hyatt is going into recievership and will be closed unfortunately.
My pick would be Sandals La Toc or Halcayon.
If you cannot afford those 2 Rendezvous was nice when I saw it, but that was several years ago. It is a much more moderate property than Sandals.
I have also had several clients who liked the Wyndham, but have seen some negatives lately.
