Which resort in T&C??
Getting ready to make reservations for a week in june in Turks&Caicos. Looking at Beaches and the Allegro resort. Any advice? Couple in their mid 20's, just going to relax. Prefer to do all-inclusive but open to suggestions. Never been to T&C and just want to make the most of it. Thanks!

Don't go to Beaches if you don't like to be around lots of children. The place is geared toward families. How about Club Med -- it is adult only. Lots of poor reviews of Beaches lately. Allegro and Club Med are not luxurious but have been getting pretty good reports lately. Actually, I would try The Sands (great reviews) and abandon the all-inclusive idea and enjoy all of the great restaurants.

Just returned from ALLEGRO last week. The most beautiful resort I've ever seen. If you want R&R, go here. All inclusive is the way to go. Only entertainment is casino and outdoor stage every night with magnificent shows. Other than that on this island, not much to do but being in and out of the water and doing snorkeling/boating. No motor boats at ALLEGRO, no KIDs, not crowded. We're in our 40's and wanted this peace and quiet, Allegro was it for us.

WE have been to Beaches and we did go there without children and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. There were many couples there as well without children. The children mostly played in the kids pool area and were never a bother. The grounds are beautiful, food and service was very good and our room was very spaciouis and clean. Highly recommend.

Been to Beaches a number of times and we don't have children. It is a big resort - the children seemed well-managed and there is an area that they seem to keep to - due to the activities and counselors.

Water and beach are the best. Allegro and Club Med are not as luxurious and the choices of restaurants and bars are not of the same caliber.

There is no town to speak of in T&C - you will spend most of the time at your resort and in the water. I didn't find a car necessary.

I'm also not a big fan of all-inclusive - but here it's worth while because they even include Scuba diving and lessons. You can go on snorkeling trips two or three times a day.
