Where to find beach/poolside service

I love the idea of being on the beach and have a server come take my drink/food order or whatever.

Where do you suggest? I don't know that we could pull off the ritz or 4 seasons, but I love westins.

I don't want to go to mexico either. I like the idea of USVI, but hey, if the sand is white enough...

At the Bucuti Beach in Aruba you put a flag in the sand if you would like someone to come over and take your order. The majority of the time it works great, but you have to remember that you are in the Caribbean... This is a great low-rise hotel located on Eagle Beach which is beautiful. The only downside is the pool which is very small. We are pool people and knew this before we went. The beach is so beautiful that we spent all of our time there. They have recently built an oceanfront addition called the Tara Suites. When we went we they were not built and only the Superior rooms were available. They were fine. We had a garden view and was able to watch the iguanas climbing the trees... They are harmless... The Deluxe rooms have an oceanview. This hotel is very adult-oriented, no children activities. If you are traveling with children, try one of the high-rise hotels located on Palm Beach in Aruba. You may also want to check out Cuisinart in Anguilla. I haven't had the opportunity to stay there yet, but it's on my list...

At Windjammer Landing in St. Lucia, there are poles topped with flags on the beach (next to the beach chairs). After a hard morning of lounging, just pop that flag into the sand, and a waiter comes out to take your order!

Thanks for the ideas... It's all so overwhelming. I must say that I have never been out of the U.S. (unless you count Windsor when I was 19 to drink)...

So there are so many things to consider. I'm becoming obsessed. But I love the flag idea, I think I saw something like that on the Travel Channel

Can anyone tell me which resorts in the Caribbean would have:

1. Beach flag service

2. Swim up pool bar

3. Wonderful food options

Time of year for travel is negotiable. Can't do a Ritz or 4S, but prefer something on the upscale side.

Also, would Peter Island fit this bill?

Thanks in advance for any help or info you can provide!
