We just came back from Antigua a month ago. Some building going on since our last trip there. My husband is already talking about returning again in 2010!

There are so many great trips planned -- I'm looking forward to hearing all about each and every one of them! Grenada, Turks & Caicos, Barbuda, Monserat ... it's all good!

kellybeaches, I was torn last year between Cat Island and Long Island. We made it to Cat Island and loved, LOVED it! I could buy a house tomorrow! Long Island is high on my Bahamas list.

It's nice to hear so many are still traveling and love that we all still have that zest for the Caribbean!!

Also not technically in the caribbean, but we are headed to Bermuda next month!
Why? Because cmcfong posted a great deal with the Fairmont and we are taking advantage of that! Yeah!!!
Bermuda is so beautiful.

Going to DR, Punta cana for a few days in Aug. Not our typical caribbean vacation but I could not pass up on the great deal. We may follow that up with a trip to exuma/LI either later this year or early next year.

Back to our favourite Caribbean hideaway on Turtle Beach, St Kitts, because it's a world away from the mad life we otherwise live!

We are Virgin Gorda bound in June...counting down the minutes!
Our first trip to the BVI's instead of the USVI's this year. Very excited. Also skipping the resort-life for a villa. Did this last year in St. Barts and now are hooked on villa-life.

Any recommendations for favorite personal chefs in Virgin Gorda?

Thinking of the Bahamas this year. Maybe split the time between a stay at Cape Santa Maria and at Pink Sands.

Why? Never been to the Bahamas...being a James Bond fan, I have to go sometime! Plus, I think next year is a Europe trip and I need me some sun!

I'll probably be returning to Puerto Rico this fall or winter. Why? Because I have relatives there and it's been a long while since my last visit. Plus it's beautiful there and the people are great!

Patty, I'm glad that you discovered life outside of San Juan, lol. There is so much to do and see around the island, outside of SJ, including coffee farms, light houses, museums, etc. One thing I love to do at night is sit outside relaxing, and hearing the coqui.

Happy travels to all! Greg

Spent 2 weeks in Jamaica in late April / early May. Why? Because we are addicted to Jamaica (it was our 13th trip to JA ...). As long as we continue to be blessed with jobs and good health, we'll be back again next April ...

We went to T&C in March. Why? Because we wanted a long weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary.

I'm heading back to Grenada end of May to go to my very dear friend's wedding, and well, we go back every year! Except hubby has work obligations so I'm going solo.

We are hoping to go back to Grenada towards the end of the year, this time with hubby in tow. We're looking to combine it with another island.

I haven't been on this site much recently. I guess that's because I don't have any 'true' Caribbean trips planned. We'll spend three months next winter in Belize, and plan to hop down to Roatan, Honduras for a week in that time.

I'm thinking we'll be spending more time traveling in Central America, since that will be our starting point.

And, I can't wait for the Cuban travel embargo to be lifted so we can head back there. Hopefully, in the next couple of years......

Back in November, a fellow fodorite posted about a deal at Galley Bay in Antigua. I jumped on it and went with my husband in early March on a 50% off. It was our fifth visit to the island and what a place it was. Love Antigua and we had a fabulous time.

I just returned from the Cove suites at Blue Waters with my childhood girlfriend, saving 30%, making this my sixth visit to the island. The cove sits atop the blue waters resort and this being my third visit to this resort....we were treated like returning family. Im a bit smitten with Antigua and hated to leave.

With the same girlfriend we are going to Staniel Cay in the Bahamas in June for a week. The idea of having your own boat and swimming pigs was just too much for me to resist...this is actually a do-over as we were supposed to go last August, but hurricane fay got in our way so the yacht club re-booked me for this june.....also note that watermakers did not charge me for this return jaunt!

In July I am finally going to the turks and caicos with my family, taking along friends of my children (heaven help me) staying with some trepidation at Beaches. I chose Beaches so that the kids will be taken care of.....and also on behalf of Blamona I chose T&C......! The sale helped as well!

Yes, I get around and yes I live to travel!! Im still on an Antigua high and I am struggling to get back into the New York groove! Back to work tomorrow, knowing that the caribbean is still on the agenda makes it a tad easier!

All the best and happy and safe travels to all!

In January we went through the Panama canal, visiting Jamaica (Montego Bay) and ending in the Dominican Republic, loved the tours we took there!

Next year... will there be another thread? I hope so!! We have reservations
