Where did you find best Vacation Package?
I've been working with a travel agent to obtain prices for a few of the Caribbean "Sadals" resorts and other hotels, but have not been impressed. If you have any suggestions on where I could find great package deals, I'd really appreciate it. There are many tour operators out there - please share your experience.

Hi,
I am always wary of travel agents and their 'good deals'. Sometimes I feel that they are like car salesmen, its hard to tell if you really are getting a good deal or not. On planning this years vacation I went to three different agencies. I knew where I wanted to go, when, and for how long. All three were within $100.00 of each other. The flights were all the same. However, one agency did 'beat' the others prices and took another $100.00 off. That was Liberty Travel here in NJ. Hope this helps!

Great question!

I just booked a 4-night package to Couples Negril, "last minute deal" - price of $950 per person including air from Tampa, from Changes in L'attitudes. Got the name from this website, went to theirs (www.changes.com), used the phone to firm up the dates/flights... I did a bit of research and found this to be a great price. The price was the same for Sweptaway also.

By the way, I've used (and recommended) www.tourscan.com in the past, but they didn't even return my phone call or emails this time, so I suppose I'm done with them!

Usually we try 1 or 2 agencies to see which has the better rate. But about 18 months ago someone on this bb recommended www.travelunlimited.com and we have been sticking with them as their prices and service were good. They were quite knowledgeable about different islands, etc.
