What do you do at night while on St. John???

Hi,
My husband and I are considering a week on St. John. We are concerned that once the sun sets we will be bored the rest of the night. Hoping that anyone who has stayed there will give us advise on how they spent their nights. Thanks

Are you staying in the Cruz Bay area? If you are there are several fun places to hang out. Fred's has live music and dancing two nights a week... so much fun! There's Duffy's Love Shack, Beach Bar and The Quiet Mon Pub. Or sit out on your deck and share a bottle wine and enjoy the stars, the lights on St Thomas. I don't think you'll be bored, we've never been!

If we go we will probably stay at the Westin which I believe is close to Cruz Bay.
K

Been to St John a few times and must admit we are in bed by 10 pm (or earlier) every night because we're so tired from all the daytime activities. The Westin isn't that close to Cruz Bay - surely not walking distance. And, although there are some bars/clubs in Cruz Bay, there are not many and they don't stay open very late. For more interesting nightlife, check out St Thomas or St Croix.

Kate,
The nightlife on St. John is definitely low key. If you're staying at the Westin, (assuming you're renting a vehicle), you'll have easy access to Cruz Bay. You will definitely find people and drinks and fun in town. My boyfriend and I NEVER felt as though we were bored or were being forced to go to bed at dusk because the sidewalks were being rolled up.
That said, if you're out and about during the day, swimming, hiking, snorkeling and exploring, you will be tired at night.
We love the island and go back because it's exactly the combination we want, beauty, serenity, good food and fun people!

After a busy day of hiking, sailing and enjoying the beaches, a late dinner at one of the great restaurants, a bottle of wine on the beach watching the stars and the moon dance on the water. Early to bed and early to rise to do the same the next day.

Thanks for your opinions. I think that sounds great. We don't need a lot to do, just wanted to know what most of you have done. Thanks.
