cruise IN the Caribbean

Does anyone know of any roundtrip cruises that start in the Caribbean?

We are beginning to talk about our honeymoon and were thinking of staying at two different islands and breaking it up with a 2-4 day cruise in the middle. I can't seem to find any cruises that originate in the Caribbean though.

Thanks!

The only cruise port in the Caribbean that I'm aware of is in Puerto Rico. I believe they will all be 7 day round trip though. Check with a travel agent.

forgot to add: Some of the smaller boats might have different locations of orgination. I was orginally thinking of the big cruise liners. Check with Wind Jammer.

I am leaving on a 7 day Southern Caribbean trip that leaves from San Juan on January 15.

Goes to Dominican Rep., Barbados, St Thomas, Grenada, Antigua.

Don't know of any 2 to 3 day cruises unless they are in the Bahamas and leave from the US.

Might consider a charter in the BVI's. Check out the Moorings.

I know the Polynesia departs out of St. Maarten and other Windjammer cruises begin and end on various other Caribbean islands. Windjammer is a casual and laid back tall ship cruise line, but if you are interested in checking schedules and departure islands you can do so at http://www.windjammer.com/

Some of the more expensive cruise lines do shorter itineraries - 4 or 5 days - that start in San Juan (maybe Barbados too). I know Radisson has some, and I think Silversea does also. The only issue is the time of year - these sailings generally are available only from November through April.

Windstar and SeaDream also have cruises that start from St. Thomas but these are usually one week in length. SeaDream ocassionally has some shorter cruises, usually at the beginning or end of their Caribbean season.
