Wedding
We are looking at Puerto Rico as a potential place to have our wedding because of its accessibility. (We each have 5 brothers and sisters spread out across the country). Can anyone suggest a resort that we may like? The important things are an in-house wedding planner, affordability, and scenery. We are not on a tremendously tight budget, but even for a family wedding, we have a lot of people. Thanks

As far as I know, all the resort properties in Puerto Rico have wedding packages. If you are looking for scenery, let me suggest you look into the newly opened Pardisus Sol Melia in the town of Rio Grande. Sol Melia is a Spanish chain and this specific property is all inclusive. We stayed there for a few days right after their opening in February and were extremely happy with the service. They have a an area with a open dome like structure (very beautiful), specifically designed for weddings. The background scenery is spectacular! You will have their greek like pool and the beach behind you. It is all open spaces. Just check it out. If you prefer a property that has been in business for a longer period of time, maybe you want to explore the Dorado Beach resort or the Westin Rio Mar.

You may also want to contact the local Convention Bureau. I'm sure they can assist in your quest for a hotel and others. Their website is www.meetpuertorico.com. Good luck with your planning!

The Inn on the Blue Horizon (in Vieques) seems really beautiful for a wedding. You have to rent the entire hotel - I forgot how many rooms - maybe 10. Look into it - the idea of a weekend wedding where the entire resort are your guests seems wonderful!!!

I will be attending a wedding in PR this July at Rincon of the Seas (in Rincon). I have no idea about cost, etc, but I believe their web site is www.rinconoftheseas.com.
