weather in Puerto Rico??

My friend and I are staying at the Hyatt Cerromar Resort for our spring break during 3/17-3/23. I looked at the average weather (on weather.com) and it shows that it doesn't rain much during the month of March. But lately, when I check the current weather (on weather.com) it shows that its thunderstorming and rainy. Is it usually nice there?

Also, what are people's opinions of the Cerromar and the sister resort, Dorado?

Any opinions are greatly welcomed!

don't worry about the weather. it's the tropics. rain squalls come and go. one minute it is pouring, the next it is blue skies and sunny
showers in the island are usually brief
the cerromar and the dorado are both nice hotels. The grounds of both are beautiful. the cerromar is the one, I think, that has that fabulous river pool. I could hang out in that all day!

We were in PR post cruise in Jan. for several days. The weather was great. I have come to the opinion, that when we see half rain, half sun picture, it means a lousy day for us. (I live on the East coast.) We KNOW this is not a going to be a good day. In the Islands, it means there maybe a little shower. The rest of the day is sunny. I watched the weather channel while I was there and I thought it was going to be a washout for the 3 days per the weather channel and it was beautiful beach weather. So don't let it concern you. Have fun.

I'd have to agree. I've noticed that showere seem to occur with the most frequency early in the morning and later in the afternoon or early evening. I've been to PR numerous times and have only had a couple of days that were complete washouts.

Both those Hyatts are really nice. They have very pretty beaches, beautiful landscaping, and nice facilities.

The Cerromar is more kid/family oriented. The Dorado is more adult oriented. There is a shuttle that runs between them all day.
