Villas

My wife and 4 children are planning a get away in April to the BVI. Villas seem to offer what we are looking for (seclusion, privacy). Having never been before, is this a correct view or can someone shed some light on other options? If villas are the way to go, can someone recommend one? Much thanks in advance.

Hi Kevin,

There are lots of good villas to choose from in the BVI at different price levels. The following are some good websites that offer good selections of villas there: http://www.purplepineapple.com, http://www.virgingordabvi.com, http://jostvandyke.com, and http://www.mclaughlinanderson.com.

Some of these villas are represented by more than one agency, so check to see which agency offers the best deal if you find a villa which you like which is represented by more than one company.

Regards,
Ray

Kevin,

I travelled to the VI last year and stayed in a villa through CaribbeanWay.com. They have luxury villas all over the Caribbean and our stay in VG was a blast! They helped me with everything from a-z and really made the villa experience a pleasure.

have a great time

Hi Kevin:
We were in Tortola, BVI in May for a total of 10 days with our 6 yr. old and I would highly recommend renting a villa.

We rented from www.areanavillas.com based on a friend who's used them for the past four years and coldn't have been happier. Four other couples where there and rented villas from them and were extremely pleased. We worked with Persia. I personally visited four of the villas on the website so if you need more info. feel free to write.

Have a great time, it was the most relaxing vacation we've had and are planning to go to St. John in April.

I would recommend the Christa Villa on Virgin Gorda unless your children are very young. (There are balconies to fall from). I was there with 5 others about 5 years ago. This is a large villa, room for everyone and the view is fantastic. It is a short walk down the hill to the small grocery store, taxi rental and Pussers Restaurant. The kitchen is well stocked, you could purchase food at the grocery to make lunches etc. You can also rent a boat to take you to all the beaches and snorkling spots. You can find additional info at caribbeans.com
