how do you get to chez shack from hacienda tamarindo? monday night bbq there sounds like a good idea.

I wish I knew route numbers, but from where you are it is easy, just take theroad that does not go to esperanza, it heads inward to the middle of the island. you catch that road almost across from Sun Bay-but towards esperanza...just follow that out into the woods and you will come across chez shack, also hix island house is out there. you WILL feel like you are heading towards nowhere! but you will get there. they do suggest reservations, but we always sit at the bar and are served just fine andhave good company.

i'm sure the people at hacienda tamarindo will be able to tell us exactly how to get to chez shack. it's really a pretty straightforward island to drive around on. i don't think we got lost.
we didn't get to chez shack last year and i kind of wished we had. this year we will definitely try to get there on monday night for the bbq.
any other suggestions for a good meal would be appreciated.
