Two days on Anguilla

We will spend 4 days on St. Martin and 2 days on Anguilla - thanks to all of the great recommendations on Fodors! We're staying at the Ku -- so I imagine that gorgeous beach should be enough to keep us occupied! Anything else we should put on our "must" list? Thank you!!

Here's a link to Anguilla Guide Restaurants........If you are only staying two nights I would go to Blanchards and Mango's but Olivers and Strat Hat are very nice.

I would stay 3 nights in AXA and 3 in SXM if it was me. Ku is nice. Stay at La Samanna in SXM. Have lunch at
Tropican in Merigot on SXM.

Let your wife buy some jewelery in the shops in Phillipsburg. Have a nice trip on the best island in the Caribbean.

Got to go have lunch at Smitty's then walk next door and take the little boat over to Scilly Cay for a few Rum Drinks (although Smitty's tastes better). My other favorite thing to do was rent a jeep and go to the furthest point on the east side of the island. After traveling down a dirt road that seems to last 5 miles you will come upon the most beautiful isolated beach you could imagine. Also a really neat little shack of a restaurant (can't recall the name)you will pass just after you get on the dirt road.

I HAVE ALWAYS STAYED AT KU, IT'S GREAT.YOU MUST GO TO SCILLY CAY FOR LUNCH YOU'LL NEVER FORGET. ON IT'S OWN PRIVATE ISLAND JUST OFF SHORE.ALSO CHECK OUT DINNER AT THE STRAW HAT, IT'S A RIDE FROM KU BUT WELL WORTH THE VIEWS OF ST MARTIN. HIGH-END YOU WANT BLANCHARDS.I TO LOVE THAT FODORS BOOK, THEY COVER ALL THE BASES.WHEN ARE YOU GOING ?? WHILE ON ST. MARTIN, GET OVER TO ORIENT BEACH.I USUALLY STAY 2 DAYS IN ST MARTIN ON THE WAY BACK FROM ANGUILLA,AT LE-PETITE HOTEL IN GRAND CASE,TO BE CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT THE DAY WE LEAVE.I BET NEXT TIME YOU'LL JUST STAY AT KU THE WHOLE TIME, ENJOY !!!

With only 2 days, you will be more than happy just vegging on Shoal Bay East! We stayed at Ku in June, and loved the beach.

For restuarants, we loved Picante (excellent Mexican), Straw Hat (great food in a restaurant over the water), and Blanchard's (VERY expensive, but great food and service -- a must if you have read "A Trip to the Beach".)
