Turks and Caicos snorkeling excursions

My wife & I are heading down to Turks and Caicos next week and plan on doing some snorkeling while there. We would like to take one of the excursions but aren't sure which one. Has anyone taken any of these and is there one particular company that you might recommend? Thanks!

I love Caicos Dream Tours. Excellent-snorkel on the outer reef, dive for conch in waist high water, snorkel sand dollars, and stop at stunning Half Moon Bay-a stunning strand of a beach.

Additionally from CDT, Sail Provo also has a nice 1/2 day excursion, snorkel on outer reef, and sail, sometimes stopping at Half moon Bay.

You can also snorkel right off the beach at Coral Gardens, which is a 5 minute walk from Aquamarine. A 10 minute walk in the other direction you can snorkel off the beach at Smith's Reef. There are also some grassy patches next to Coral Gardens where turtles love to swim.

We enjoyed the full day with Sail Provo. First stop was Iguana Island. We did several stops for snorkeling including inside the barrier reef. We also stopped at a beach area to look for sand dollars another beach stop just for swimming then we had a picnic type lunch on the catamaran. On the way back we saw two dolphins following the boat.

We also enjoyed going to Middle Caicos with Silver Deep. We went to the caves and then did 2 snorkel stops and one beach stop.

Our favorite excursion was the 2 hour guided jet ski tour with Sun and Fun. The guide took us over to the South side (at least I think it was that area). The water was crystal clear and the sand so white from a distance it looked like snow. Just beautiful.

KVR: Silverdeep no longer goes to Middle Caicos! It's so easy now to go by ferry and rent a car for North & Middle, it took their business away. (It was more fun by boat though!)

blamona, that is so sad to hear. Sometimes new developments are not the best thing. That boat ride was awesome. We got so see so much and it was beautiful.

We ended up doing the 1/2 day snorkel with Caicos Dream Tours. Awesome snorkeling on the outer reef - we saw turtles, manta rays and the most amazing corals! Diving for conch shells was cool. . and then getting to eat them for lunch about an hour later on a secluded remote beach was great.

They picked us up at our hotel and dropped us right back. Convenient and fun.

Thanks for your responses - they really helped!
