Turks & Caicos - is it humid in August?

We're contemplating a trip to Turks & Caicos in August. I know that temps are in the 90s during that time but was wondering if it's unbearably humid. I'll be 25 weeks pregnant by then and I won't be able to stand it if it's humid.

We were in Cancun a few years ago during May and that was very humid for me. So if Turks and Caicos in August would be the same, I would go somewhere else.

Our 2nd choice is Kauai but also wondering about the heat and humidity there in August.

Thanks in advance!

I would think that most islands would be humid in August but probably less so than many places in the US!

Thanks Caribzack and Kristen1206. We're trying to get away from the Texas heat so just want to make sure that the temps at our destination will be much more bearable!

using wunderground.com i used aug 10-24
provo avg temp 89, humidity low 80%'s, 44% chance of wind. kauai avg temp 84, hum mid 80%'s, with 82% chance of wind

to check on other locations using wunderground, scroll over the 'travel & activities' tab, then click 'trip planner'. plug in the airport code & your dates.

Thanks, virginia, this website is very helpful.

It looks like the heat and humidity may be too much for me! We may have to do another location and save Turks and Caicos for another time!

For me, humid is relative-- on paper 2 different places can have the same humidity, yet it's always better on the beach!

I was 4 months pregnant in TCI in August, and it didn't bother me, the water is like a giant swimming pool, the A/C works well everywhere.

I can tell you, it will feel better than Texas, but it's just my opinion.

PS, I'm always hot blooded to put in perspective. 8-)
