Travelling single. Where should I go?

I am interested in taking some week long and weekend trips this year and will probably be going alone. Anyone have any suggestions or advice on where to go. Are there places that cater to the single traveller...most packages kill you by adding the single suppliment to it. Also are there any travel companies or websites that have this kind of information? Your responses and idea's are appreciated!

Craig, I travel alone quite often and find that the
all-inclusive resort is the best way to go. I would
recommend a Club Med which caters to singles. They
seat you with a different group of people at each
meal and that's a great way to meet lots of
interesting folks.

E-mail me if you have any further questions.

Craig - I would recommend Barbados. I started going there in my early 20's with friends, and then continued in my mid-late 20's to go back, often on my own. The locals there are the friendliest in the Caribbean and the mix of tourist includes mostly British, Canadian, and northern European, in addition to Americans. There are no casinos but the beaches are awesome and the nightlife includes a good variety of local talent. If you would like any more information on Barbados, feel free to e-mail me. I've met many single travelers there over the years.

The key to travelling single is to go places
where there are extremely cheap places to
stay. I'd highly recommend Playa Del Carmen
in the Yucatan, south of Cancun. You can
get a single bed for less than $30US a night.

I highly recommend Club Med. Chose on of their destinations that caters to singles and not families. They can help you with this. Sometimes they have specials or they will have you room with another single person so the cost is lower. I do not think you can go wrong here for your money and you will meet lots of people.
