Talk about fun and romance, a combination St. Martin/St. Barth honeymoon would be the best of both worlds. Do 3 days on St. Martin for the great beaches, nightlife, casinos and two different countries (French and Dutch) then get on a windward islands plane to St. Barths. Rent a moke and a villa (from Wimco or St. Barth Properties (800) 421 3396) and you will get a luxurious private villa with a pool or a hot tub on the classiest most romantic iin the Caribbean for alot less than most resorts. St. barth has incredible dining, no crime, some nightlife and gorgeous beaches that you don't have to wear a stitch on. If you have a few more days, throw in going to Saba - talk about charming. E-mail me if you want details on areas to stay in, Eats, beaches etc.

I would recommend a combination of St. Lucia and Barbados. If you're going in September, you're in the heart of hurricane season! The northern islands are much more vulnerable than these two southern islands, which lie south of the typical hurricane tract. If you're going to split the 10 days up, I would suggest staying longer in Barbados - St. Lucia tends to be rainier. Barbados is more of what you would expect in a Caribbean island - with fine, pink sand beaches and turquoise waters. You won't find that in St. Lucia - but you will find a beautiful tropical rain forest. If you have any questions about Barbados, feel free to e-mail me - been there 16 times!

Pick St. Maarten! My husband and I went there last year and LOVED it! the beaches are beautiful, and there are plenty of them. (We went in March, and one day we even had a beach all to ourselves!) We stayed on the Dutch side at the Holland House Hotel, which was very nice and very reasonable. Be sure and rent a car if you go - we drove to the highest point on the island one evening and saw the most beautiful sunset - better than the sunsets I saw in Negril, Jamaica. We also went horseback riding - you can put your swinsuit on and ride the horses into the surf! The food was wonderful and fairly reasonable. What else...Oh yah, if you are adventerous, most of the beaches we visited were "clothing optional" or at least "tops" optional. The snorkeling wasn't the best, but you can take a day trip to St. Barths - I guess the snorkeling there is much better (we didn't go). Also, don't miss the butterfly farm. Hope that helps! Have a great time, wherever you decide to go!

You are in the rainy season in September. Hurricane weather. I would stay away from this area. Better to go to Aruba as they are out of the Hurricane Belt. You could hop over to Bonaire or Curacao from there. 10 days really isn't that long to spend on one island if you want to relax and enjoy your honeymoon.
