Tortola for 14 at Christmas 08

Am looking for a reasonable all-inclusive resort on Tortola for 8 adults and 6 children aged 2-12 for Christmas 08. Need a place which will suit varied interests. Thanks.

My niece was married last year at Long Bay Resort. About 25 attended, some rented beachfront rooms, others shared a hillside villa. They all enjoyed it - with one warning: grandma was not happy (or able) to climb the steep hill to the room each day, and had to wait for the resort shuttle (which, as they say "soon come" - on island time). I have also taken my children there and rented a hillside villa years ago. I think it's a perfect destination for a family. Not a bargain anymore though, like it used to be.

no all-inclusives on Tortola. The closest you'll find is some of the private island resorts in the
BVI where meals and some activities included.

It's true that there are no all inclusives per se, but Long Bay Beach Resort does offer an AI option. Other resorts might as well.

Hi. I'm not sure if you found a place yet or not, but we are going with our family of 12 to Surfsong Villa Resort in Tortola this May 2008. We have not been there before, so I don't have any experience yet of what it is like. What I do have experience with are planning the trip with the owners/managers. Our group is 9 adults and 3 kids 5 and under. We are renting out the entire resort. It is made up of 4 small villas, two 2 bdrm and two one bedrms. It is right on the beach, run by a couple who owns the place. It is not a huge commercial resort. Each villa has AC, kitchen, small living area, etc. They can also arrange activities and meals if you'd like them to. Check it out at www.surfsong.net.
