Too many choices

My fiance and I are getting married in April. We have been given a week of timeshare (by a gracious relative)at any of the available locations..which are way too many to choose from. We know we want to go to the Caribbean, but now we're stumped. We are coming from a devesated area, so anything is going to be a dream. We want something relaxed and less touristy, but still with activites to choose from after the first few days of loafing. Could someone please give us a few suggestions? Any help is appreciated!

We have the choice of St. John, St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. Kitts and Nevis, Aruba, Barbados, St. Marteen, Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas. Thanks for your suggestions!

My choice St. Kitts and Nevis. Beautiful islands, not so commercialized and touristy though they are getting there. 2nd choice for me would be St. Maarten. can't comment on St. John,Thomas, Croix or T&C. Barbados, Aruba, and Bahamas, too flat for me.

My first advice would be to actually confirm which locations are available. I'm guessing you have been given a week deposited with a timeshare exchange company and see a long list of resorts that you can (theoretically) choose from, but if you are looking only three months or so out, you might find very limited availablity at this point.

Congratulations, btw

Other than timeshare availability, also consider the flight costs. Nevis, for instance, can be very pricey to fly into since the competition is limited. Bahamas or St. Thomas/St. John might be good places to start looking.
