My wife and I are planning to take our 2 & 3 year old daughters on a beach vacation somewhere in the Carribean this May. Any recommedations on a toddler friendly all inclusive?

Sure. Beaches Turks and Caicos does a good job with toddlers AND adults. Nice place on a lovely white sand beach with very calm water.

Yes, definitely Beachs TCI. They have breakfasts with Sesame Street characters. I am sure your kids will love to see Elmo!

OH, BTW the character breakfasts do cost extra. But it might be fun. The beach there is perfect for young children.

FDR in Jamaica--perfect for toddlers; real suites for rooms, they assign you a nanny for your stay and the food is good. There is an adults-only restaurant where the food is delicious and your nanny, for a very nominal fee, babysits for you. There are age-appropriate crafts and activities and they understand how kids eat--all the time (!) and have good food and fruit available all day. The resort is all families which is nice. Don't know where you are coming from , but from most of the East Coast, Jamaica is a nonstop flight which is also key. Check their website, they always run lots of specials.

Please let me know if you have questions.

Thanks for the info. How far is the FDR from the airport? Are there direct flights from Boston? Thanks again.

FDR is tough to beat for what it is. Clean, well run, and GREAT for kids. Just be away that though it is on the water, there is very little beach. The accomodations are large but not fancy. But the staff is fantastic!!.
We have always gone to FDR Runaway Bay which is about 90 min from the airport.
Not a problem really

Jamaica is a great destination for a family; there's a Beaches resort in Negril, which is a somewhat shorter drive from MoBay than FDR, though the latter is one of the premier family resorts in the Caribbean. Club Med in Punta Cana is also a good family resort. A couple of other good family-friendly resorts are Almond Beach Village in Barbados and El Conquistador in Puerto Rico (but check on the ages of children's programs there ... I'm not sure at what age they start dealing with kids there ... it might be only at 4). These will at least give you some choices.

Hyatt Hacienda Del Mar in Puerto Rico, Aruba Marriott Ocean Club. Both great condo resorts with all amenities.

when we were at FDR, there were lots of families from Boston; you drive in a van which was fine (really--I don't usually tolerate that very well). It is really a great set-up, especially since your guys are on the little side.

Hope this helps,

Mary
