Our first time in the Caribbean we was wondering what things can we get up to in Cuba? We are staying in playa pesquero, does anybody know how long it takes to get to Havana? Thanks for any help.

Hi cairocuz,

according to googlemaps, Playa Pesquero is down past Holguin which is about 2 days' drive from Havana or most of a day and night in a bus. A better way to get to Havana might be to fly from Holguin but you'd be hard pressed to do it as a day trip; an over night at least would be required.

if you're staying in the hotel playa pesquero it seems to get excellent reviews but I can't find much information about things to do there outside the resort. Can you ask your tour company?

You're in Holguin.
Santiago de Cuba, which is known for Colonial atmosphere, is much closer than Havana, but is still an overnight IMO.
Holguin has museums, plazas, churches. There are music venues, theater, brew pubs.
If you want to see Havana, fly and stay a couple of days.
