The perfect caribbean vacation

Hi! I'm planning a trip to the caribbean in July/August. I've been to St. Croix and St. Thomas and had a blast!
My ideal vacation? sandy-white beaches, not too crowded, and most of all, GREAT snorkeling!
Where is that???

Try St. John! However, be advised that there's no nightlife in St. John (if that's what you meant by having a "blast").

Turks and Caicos have fantastic snorkeling. Forever long beaches, not at all crowded and crystal clear waters. Go to an all inclusive resort though, very expensive to eat and drink at the restaurants.

Gina, I like St. John & Grand Cayman for beaches & snorkeling. St. John is more lush. Grand Cayman has less bug bite troubles. Both are expensive.

Maybe Belize?

(I love St. Croix too.)

We stayed at Beaches. It was wonderful and we didn't bring our kids. The resort is so big and the kids pretty much stay at the pool in the newer area with the kids club, we hardly saw any. They have a fantastic scuba program and you can get resort cert. if you want to try it, it is all included! My husband did the resort course and loved. I just snorkled but saw about as much sea life as he did. Sea turtles, squid many other things. There are about 7 restaurants, wonderful food, great drinks. Sailing, windsurfing, kayaks. It was expensive but worth it!
