T&C Ocean club and weather?'s
Of the two Ocean Clubs, which one is quieter? Has the better beach? Is there snorkeling off either of the beaches? And lastly, is it cool in the T&C in Ferbruary? Would we need wet suits for snorkeling? Thanks for any information.

Virginia

I can't speak about the weather in February..Although we were there in March and it was warm...not blisteringly hot..which was fine with me. The water was not really warm...butit was tolerable without a wetsuit...I went in..and I hate freezing water!! There is really no snorkeling off either of the Ocean Club beaches...You have to go down to Coral Gardens to really see anything. As for the beaches...They are both on the same stretch of beach..You can see one from the other...Ocean Club is next to Club Med..Even though there is nothing on the other side, there is definitely more activity at that end of the beach. The beach at Ocean Club West is wide and gorgeous...and really feels like only OCW guests...Much quieter at night. We could not hear Allegro or Club Med noise at night.
Hope that helps!
SPB

Thanks so much for the info. Now I have to decide between the OCW and the Sands. I'm not sure if the Sands has off the beach snorkelling nearby. That could be the tie breaker. Thanks again.
Virginia

Gin:

both places would be nice but the Ocean Club is a long walk from the snorkel area. Even if you do snorkel there take a trip on some type of bost and go to other spots. You may want a wet suit or shorty for that time of year but I am from Alabama and like the water very warm. The beach is great anywhere on this part on the island.
Have a great time and if you hear of any Jobs let me know I could live there.
Tim
[email protected]

Just returned from T&C stayed at OCW.
We walked to Coral Gardens to Snorkel,
about 45 minutes. At OCW you can take one of the bikes about a 15 minute trip. When we return I would again stay at OCW or the try the Sands. At OCW we were within a short walk to some of the best restaurants. Beach did seem more private than others.
The Sands looked very nice and we met some people on a snorkel trip that were very pleased. We ate lunch and dinner at Hemmingways. Lunch was very good dinner was OK compared to other places we ate. The atmosphere was very nice out by the water. The restaurant at OCW was also good for breakfast and lunch but we never ate dinner there. We had a great vacation everything from our resort to the people, service, food, weather were great. We went on a Snorkel excursion with Sail Provo. A nice sail, good captain and crew. 1/2 day(10-2) with lunch and rum punch$75.00 per person. This trip was good but I honestly have had better on other islands, not because of the crew but bigger Cats and a better lunch with full bar and rum punch with RUM IN IT !! I know they want to be careful and I do understand but this seemed to be the opinion from others as well. Full day was $150.00 per person and I believe you got more for your money.
When I go back I would go on the trip again just the sailing on the beautiful waters and view should not be missed.

Enjoy your trip T&C's was really wonderful !!!!

MELS

Thanks Mels - I think OCW is where we will stay. Now just to make sure I don't have things mixed up - OCW is next to the Allegro, and OC is next to Club Med? Thanks again for the info -
Virginia
