T & C - In August

Hi - Has anyone been to T & C in late August? We have gone to other Caribbean islands (Virgin Gorda, St. John) around that time of the year before and have been VERY LUCKY!! What are the chances of being lucky again? Also, we are thinking about staying at Royal West Indies as I think I read that Coral Gardens is doing construction work. Thanks

Spent 8/23 - 8/30 at RWI last year. Second pool had just opened. We had a great time, weather was very nice although hotter than during the winter months. Have a great time!

just back from Provo and stayed at Coral Gardens. There is no construction work going on. They need to sell more units before they start Phase 3

Thanks to Ted and everyone.
Ted, any restaurants around the hotel you feel are worthy of trying?

Just came back from RWI on Saturday. Its a wonderful resort.

The restaurants that were recommended to us by the driver from the airport were Coyoba (Coral Gardens), Magnolia (Turtle Cove) and Tiki Hut. Of these, we only made it to Magnolia's but the view there is great as they're up on the hill above Turtle Cove.

My wife's favorite restaurant was Coco Bistro which is only a short walk from the RWI resort. Its not on the beach, but in a palm tree grove. Very good food, nice location. My only suggestions (and I think this applies to most outdoor restaurants on the island) is not to eat at dusk. For about 5-10 minutes there seems to be some flies around. In fact, at Magnolias they delayed our entree from our appetizer by about 5 mins to skip this time, which I thought was very thoughtful.

If you have any questions about the resort, or the island feel free to ask here, or email. I don't know nearly as much as Howard about the island as this was our first time. But it won't be our last.

Patty--Lots of places to rent depending on what you want to spend. Found a really good deal. E-mail me and I'll tell you about [email protected].

Ken--Glad you enjoyed Provo and are now hooked like we are. If you like Provo you'd probably like Anguilla. Coco Bistro is one of our favorite restaurants. Nice dining experience. Next time you'll have to try Coyaba.
