T&C Beaches Resort -- Alternatives ??

My wife and I are considering taking a summer vacation to the Beaches Resort at T&C. Their day care/day camp program is an ABSOLUTE MUST for us (hence, the choice of Beaches). Despite the gorgeous-looking accomodations, this place is EXPENSIVE !
Can anyone suggest other alternatives that could offer suite-style accomodations and a day camp facility for Jr. .. that is not so pricey ? Open to other locations in Carribean or in States ..Carolinas or Florida.
Thanks !

The two Beaches Resorts in JAmaica are alot cheaper then Beaches Turks. The smaller obviously is far cheaper. I beleive that there are other resorts in Jamaica as well that specifically cater to families with children. FDR is one, Pebbles might be another, as well as the Wyndham. But know there are more. I also think the Windjammer in St. Lucia has a good children's program.

La Cabana in Aruba is geared towards families and has a good children's program.

Just had a wonderful vacation at the Buccaneer in ST. Croix---great kid's program for 4 year old and up and babysitters available for younger ones---the place is beautiful, room prices include a wonderful buffet breakfast and we found the service to be some of the best we've experienced on the Islands. Have also been to Windjammer Landing (St. Lucia)---extraordinary villa-type accomodations, most with private plunge pools. Had a little experience with the kids program when my daughter was 3 and she loved it.

I've also been to Beaches T&C---was very happy with the kid's program but it IS expensive, food was mediocre and beach was a big disappointment---crowded and narrow.

Feel free to e-mail me with other questions.

STAY AWAY FROM BEACHES! If you want insight into their "day care" program, click on the Fodors Rants and Raves section of this website for some VERY troubling experiences from people who have been there.
